The Mazda Bongo Friendee Service Repair Manual is 332 pages long and is a translated version of the Mazda Friendee / Ford Freda Workshop Manual.

All models are covered apart from Bongo petrol versions. Tyre Sizes

Mazda recommends for load distribution, wider rear tyres than the front.

Front: 195/70 R15
Rear: 215/65 R15

Having said that, many people run around with the same size tyres front and rear (typically 205s) without experiencing any problems.

Tyre Pressures

Front: 32psi
Rear: 34psi

Engine Oil

UK climate: 10W/30
Colder climate: 5W/30

Checkpoints

Some points worth checking and noting:

• Check front heater motors and relay switches in case of burn out.
• Check CV joints for wear on 4WD vehicles.
• Check for flashing 'hold' light on the dash – a sign of a potential gearbox problem.
• Check for perished radiator hoses which can lead to a cracked cylinder head.
• Glowplugs can fail in sudden cold snaps.
